Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in making a summer move for Toulouse youngster Issa Diop.
Diop has impressed in Ligue 1 this season, and is already captaining Toulouse despite his young age.
The centre-back is regarded as one of the best young talents in French football.
But Spurs’ track record of buying from Ligue 1 has not been the most successful in recent times.
The likes of Clinton Njie and Georges Kevin N’Koudou have struggled at Spurs after being brought in from France’s top flight.
And while some Tottenham fans think Diop would have a better chance of being a success than Njie or N’Koudou, others are less keen on the signing.
If Diop was brought to Spurs he would add even more quality to a backline which already ranks among the best in Europe.
