Will Tottenham make a late move for Wilfried Zaha?

Tottenham Hotspur fans have expressed reservations over reports they are plotting a late raid on Crystal Palace for Wilfried Zaha.

The Sun report Spurs are going to attempt to follow up their summer bids for the winger by attempting to make him their sole January signing, and offering £25 million.

Tottenham’s summer investments are yet to pan out, with Victor Wanyama the only one of four permanent signings who can be labelled a success at this stage.

Zaha’s inconsistent career to date has fans understandably concerned that Spurs are about to rush into making an errant and overpriced move.

Palace’s relegation battle means they are unlikely to sell for anything less than a huge fee, even though it would allow them little to no time at all to reinvest.

From Tottenham’s perspective, Zaha would shake up the battle for positions on the wings, with N’Koudou yet to start effecting games, and Lamela out injured.

He has Premier League experience with three different clubs, Manchester United and a loan spell with Cardiff also, and has four league goals and six assists in 19 games this season.

Get him playing alongside Harry Kane, and the 24-year-old could really kick on.
