Kyle Walker has inadvertently done former side Tottenham a favour.

Manchester City’s dream of winning four trophies this season is over after they crashed out of the FA Cup.
They were beaten 1-0 by League One side Wigan Athletic thanks to a goal from Northern Ireland striker Will Grigg.
Grigg’s goal came after a mistake from Kyle Walker, who became the league’s most expensive defender at the time when he signed for City from Tottenham Hotspur last summer.
Tottenham fans were left upset by his departure and have had little reason to crow about the move despite the fee, given the way Walker’s City have already seemingly locked up the Premier League title.

His error last night though was a reminder that Walker can still have his bad moments, as he did during his time at Tottenham.
His mistake has done Spurs a favour, as City were the favourites to win the FA Cup.
Tottenham were forced into a replay by Rochdale at the weekend but remain in the draw and are heavily favoured to win the replay.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are all out, with Tottenham’s main competitors Chelsea and Manchester United.
Anything can happen in a cup competition as Wigan’s result proves, but the path has cleared a little for Spurs in their quest to win a trophy for the first time since 2008.
Here is a look at how fans reacted to Walker’s game costing error…
