Tottenham Hotspur defender Kevin Wimmer has made just two appearances so far this season.

Tottenham Hotspur fans are hoping that Kevin Wimmer’s latest comments are not the beginning of the end for him at White Hart Lane.
Wimmer expressed his frustrations about a lack of playing time at Spurs in Austrian publication Kliene Zeitung (as quoted by Sky Sports).
Wimmer has only played twice for Tottenham this season, and has slipped behind Cameron Carter-Vickers in the selection order at the North London club.

And he said: “We will see what happens in the next few weeks; how much I start. We have a few midweek matches.
“After last season, where I played towards the end quite frequently, I’m already down on other expectations for this season.
“That (the injury I had) has taken me back a bit. It is difficult at the moment but I am patiently waiting for my chance. I try to always stay positive.
“The feedback from the club is always that they are very happy; that they see the future with me. This is very positive, but it is about the here and now.”
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has previously not taken kindly to players who have spoken publicly about frustrations with his team selection.

The likes of Andros Townsend and Nabil Bentaleb have both felt Pochettino’s wrath recently.
Townsend is now a Crystal Palace player, while Bentaleb has been loaned out to Schalke and there are some fears that Wimmer could go in a similar direction.
Tottenham fans do value the Austrian international, though, and there seems to be a widespread hope that he can become more contented at White Hart Lane.
