Son faces stern opposition, with Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah in the running to follow up his Februay award win, and his four goal haul against Watford will count in his favour.
Burnley’s Chris Wood, Everton’s Cenk Tosun, Manchester City’s David Silva and Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku complete the six nominees.
Son has scored 12 goals in 30 league appearances so far this season.
March was a particularly productive individual month for the forward, as he also scored in the Champions League for Tottenham against Juventus.
He drew a blank in his last league game of the month against Swansea, and he did not score against Chelsea either, but he will be hoping to be back on target this weekend when Spurs visit Stoke City.
Son is often an under appreciated player as he keeps such a low profile, and Tottenham fans are delighted that he is getting some deserved recognition, whether he wins the award or not.
