Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking Gylfi Sigurdsson with a return to the club.

According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham are interested in signing Sigurdsson from Premier League rivals Swansea City in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to re-sign Sigurdsson as he believes that the Iceland international midfielder is a better and cheaper alternative to Everton star Ross Barkley.

With the Toffees demanding as much as £50 million as transfer fee to part company with the England international midfielder in the summer, Pochettino is considering making a £25m move for Sigurdsson, according to the report.

Sigurdsson joined Swansea from Tottenham in the summer of 2014, and the 27-year-old has since established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.

The former Reading player has scored nine goals and provided 13 assists in 37 Premier League appearances for the Swans this season.

Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking Sigurdsson with a return to the club, with some ready to welcome him back while others do not want him in the team.
