Gareth Bale’s Real Madrid career may have come to an end last night after an awful showing in the Champions League.

Bale is enduring his worst season yet in a Real Madrid shirt, struggling with form and injuries – could it lead to Tottenham bringing him back?

Bale signed for Real Madrid in 2013 for a world record fee, and he has won three Champions League medals and one La Liga trophy.

It appears that Real are running out of patience with him, and Tottenham supporters can see their window of opportunity growing.

Bale was a fan favourite at Spurs, and while he would have to take a pay cut to head back to North London, a change of scenery could do him good.

Spanish outlet El Gol Digital reported earlier this year that Spurs hold an interest in bringing him back, and at the right price Real may be ready to cash in.

If they were wavering, last night might have made up their minds.
