The Mail report Spurs could end up staying at Wembley until the New Year and there is a chance the Premier League decide to enforce they stay there for the rest of the season.
The uncertainty is difficult for both home and away fans, as well as additional stakeholders like television companies looking to plan ahead.
Spurs originally planned to open the stadium at the start of this season, before delaying the proposed opening until September 15.
That would have been the upcoming game against Liverpool but this game has now been switched to Wembley along with their Champions League games.
A late October clash at their new stadium against Manchester City floated as another possible date to open their new stadium has also been switched to Wembley.
The issue with Tottenham’s new ground is that it simply is not ready, with internal and external work still behind schedule, and no test events have been run so far.
Tottenham fans are frustrated with the uncertainty, while some want the club to just now decide on Wembley for the season so everybody knows where they stand.
