De Jong has eight assists in 15 matches for Ajax this term, and would help to bolster Tottenham’s midfield options.
Spurs have a great relationship with Ajax, after previously buying Christian Eriksen and Davinson Sanchez from the Dutch giants.
Tottenham are yet to make a signing in the January transfer window, but are thought to be open for business this month.
