De Jong has been a regular starter for Ajax over the campaign so far, and he has been a wonderful source of creativity.
Despite a lack of first-team experience, De Jong has excelled in the Eredivisie and his talent has not gone unnoticed.
Sky Sports claim that Spurs are now keen on signing De Jong, after being impressed by his potential.
And Tottenham fans are keen to see Mauricio Pochettino move for the young Dutchman.
De Jong has eight assists in 15 matches for Ajax this term, and would help to bolster Tottenham’s midfield options.
Spurs have a great relationship with Ajax, after previously buying Christian Eriksen and Davinson Sanchez from the Dutch giants.
Tottenham are yet to make a signing in the January transfer window, but are thought to be open for business this month.
