Tottenham Hotspur fans appear to believe that Erik Lamela’s time at White Hart Lane is now up, after his latest injury set back.
The news broke yesterday in the Daily Mail that Lamela was set to miss the end of the season with an injury which has plagued his campaign.
The Argentine picked up a hip injury, which was expected to keep him out for a few weeks back in October.
However, Lamela’s problem has been far more severe than initially feared and a series of set backs have stopped him playing for Spurs at all this season.
Tottenham have kept the full details of Lamela’s injury in house, and Spurs fans believe that they may have seen the last of the winger now.
Lamela was expected to have an important role to play for Tottenham this season, and he had developed into a crucial player at White Lart Lane.
Despite struggling at first, Lamela had become a vital part of Mauricio Pochettino’s side last season, when he put in a number of excellent displays.
Lamela only managed to play 14 times for Tottenham in all competitions this season, though, before injury struck.
