Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur side ran out 2-1 winners over Watford at Wembley yesterday.

Tottenham Hotspur fans feel that Christian Eriksen’s form has dipped badly in recent weeks.

Eriksen was once again picked to start for Tottenham against Watford last night, but his performance was not up to his usual high standards.

With Dele Alli and Harry Kane out, Eriksen, who is on a £70,000-a-week contract (Sky Sports), was expected to be the man to carry Spurs.

However, the Dane has been unable to perform to the standards anticipated by many at Tottenham.

Spurs actually won 2-1 against Watford yesterday, but Eriksen’s display still came in for criticism on social media website Twitter.

Tottenham only just about got past Watford, as they secured a huge victory as they battle for a top four spot.

Spurs had fallen behind in the first half, but goals from Heung-Min Son and Fernando Llorente provided them with the three points.

Spurs have now consolidated their spot in third place in the Premier League table, and are sat just two points behind Manchester City.
