Tottenham Hotspur are said to be plotting a bid for Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler.

Carlos Soler of Valencia looks on during the La Liga match between Valencia CF and Villarreal CF at Estadio Mestalla on January 26, 2019 in Valencia, Spain.

According to ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur are planning a £30 million move for Carlos Soler, and the news has generally gone down well with supporters.

While there is some scepticism over whether Tottenham will actually make a move, Spurs fans are happy to see a player of Soler’s quality linked.

The 22-year-old has impressed in La Liga this season, where he has excelled with Valencia.

And the only question Tottenham supporters seem to have over the signing is why they are waiting until the summer, rather than moving now.

Tottenham fans have been waiting a long time to see a signing go through, with Lucas Moura there last addition back in January 2018.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been reluctant to spend on new players, even after the departure of Mousa Dembele this month.

Tottenham’s squad depth is currently being tested, with Harry Kane and Dele Alli both out injured, but still no new faces have arrived.

Tottenham are next in action tomorrow evening, when they take on Watford.
