Tottenham Hotspur supporters have expressed their frustration at their lack of spending this summer by pointing towards Aston Villa making themselves heard in the transfer market since their promotion to the Premier League.

Villa will meet Tottenham on the opening day of the new Premier League campaign on August 10, with Dean Smith’s side spending over £100 million on 12 players.

On the other hand, Spurs have made one major signing in Tanguy Ndombele, with the other being winger Jack Clarke, who has since been loaned back to Leeds.

Nonetheless, Spurs supporters on Twitter were annoyed that Daniel Levy wasn’t pushing for deals or showing the same ambition that Villa have been showing this summer.

Whilst the Midlands outfit have secured the services of players who are not on the level of Tottenham, the White Hart Lane faithful have seemingly been bouncing off Mauricio Pochettino’s words.

The Tottenham boss recently came out and stated that he is ‘not in charge’ of transfers and the club needs to ‘change’ his title, as quoted by BBC Sport.

When it comes to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, there is only one person who is going to win the negotiations, but it seems the club’s lack of push in the market is frustrating Pochettino and the supporters.

They will be hoping it gets better from here on in because seven days remain before the deadline shuts and then the talking will stop because Villa will be locking horns with Spurs at their new stadium.
