Tottenham Hotspur fans revelled in Arsenal’s misery after they suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Chelsea in the Europa League final on Wednesday night.

The Gunners produced a poor display and simply didn’t turn up in Baku as Eden Hazard netted a brace to inspire his team to another European trophy.

Things can go from bad to worse for Arsenal supporters because Tottenham will compete for the Champions League final on Saturday evening in Madrid.

If Spurs do win then they will become only the second London team to win the Champions League trophy and the first team to win that competition from North London.

Regardless of what happens to Tottenham at the weekend, they will be playing Champions League football next season because they ended the recently concluded Premier League campaign in the top-four.

As for Arsenal, they finished in fifth place and needed to win the Europa League in order to book themselves a CL spot, but now, they will be playing on Thursday nights next season.

Here is a selection of Tottenham fans on Twitter reacting to Arsenal’s defeat:

On Saturday night, Tottenham, the fans, the players and the coaching staff will take part in one, if not the biggest game of their careers.

They have the chance to win their first piece of silverware under Mauricio Pochettino and the biggest trophy in club football.
