Tottenham Hotspur are currently four points ahead of their North London rivals Arsenal in the Premier League table.
Tottenham Hotspur fans saw the funny side as Arsenal were beaten 3-1 at Wolves on Wednesday to dent their chances of finishing in the top four.
On Tuesday, Spurs left it late to seal all three points against relegation-threatened Brighton when Christian Eriksen struck an 89th-minute winner.
It meant that Tottenham opened up a four-point gap on fifth-placed Arsenal, who needed maximum points in the Midlands to keep up their hopes of securing a Champions League place at the end of the season.
But that was dented by a Wolves side that have produced a number of poor performances in recent weeks as Unai Emery’s men may now have to settle for Europa League football next term.
They still have a chance of making the top-four, but they will need their rivals to drop points and they themselves will have to get back to winning ways if that is to happen.

If the Gunners don’t achieve a top-four finish then they will have to rely on winning the Europa League to make the Champions League for next season.
But Chelsea will also be chasing the same dream as they are in the semi-final of that competition also, with Spurs in the Champions League semi-finals.
