Tottenham are reported to be plotting a January spending spree.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted with disdain for reports the club are planning a £100 million spending spree.

The Express made the claim this week, insisting Spurs will flash the cash in the January transfer window.

Tottenham supporters simply do not believe it.

Spurs did not spend a penny this summer, and didn’t even sign any players on loan or on a free.

The team have performed admirably considering, and are just four points off the top of the Premier League after six games, although they do sit bottom of their Champions League group.

More depth is needed at centre-back, central midfield and up front, if the club were willing to strengthen.

The January transfer window is difficult to do business in, but Spurs did snap up a bargain this year when they signed Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain for £25 million.
