Winks has only appeared in FA Cup games for Tottenham Hotspur in 2018.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Winks has withdrawn from England’s Under-21 squad due to an ankle injury, the Football Association confirmed on Wednesday.
The problem has afflicted Winks on and off since the end of last season, and the midfielder has only appeared in FA Cup games this calendar year.
Reports last week suggested he was a doubt for England‘s World Cup campaign, which made has call up to Aidy Boothroyd’s squad all the more surprising.

And some Tottenham supporters are not only concerned about Winks’s short term fitness, but how his entire career may also suffer as a result of the issue at hand.
Here’s what they’re saying on Twitter…
A product of Tottenham’s academy, Winks made his senior England debut against Lithuania last October, shortly before he impressed in the Champions League against Real Madrid.
And based on those early season displays, Spurs fans will hope their team’s medical staff can soon get to the bottom of the issue.
What should Tottenham do with Winks?
