Tottenham Hotspur’s strategic partnership with the NFL has led to the club designing their own American Football jersey.
The shirts have already gone on sale to supporters – but the pricing is proving controversial.
The Nike manufactured jerseys cost £95.
This is substantially more than a Premier League football shirt and a huge amount for what is essentially a novelty piece of sportswear.
NFL shirts do cost in this range. NFL Shop Europe has jerseys for sale between £75 and £110, so Tottenham’s pricing is in line.
Harry Kane is a big NFL fan and was happy to take part in the tie in, as part of a partnership which will see Spurs host games at their new stadium next season.
Tottenham’s latest offering has not had a great response, with fans criticising it for being a cash grab.
