Saido Berahino was linked with Tottenham Hotspur before his move from West Bromwich Albion to Stoke City in the January transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur destroyed Stoke City at home on Sunday afternoon. The North London outfit scored four goals in the first half to wrap up a comfortable 4-0 victory in the Premier League game.
Harry Kane was the star of the show for Tottenham at White Hart Lane. The England international striker scored a hat-trick and provided the assist for Dele Alli’s strike in first-half injury time.
It was a bad day at the office for Stoke, and for Saido Berahino, who came on as a substitute in the second half and failed to do much in the match. The 23-year-old striker replaced Peter Crouch on the hour mark.
The former England Under-21 international striker joined Stoke from Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion in the January transfer window.
Berahino was actually linked with a move to Tottenham back in the summer of 2015. The Guardian reported at the time that the Baggies had rejected offers for the striker from Spurs, with the striker himself taking to Twitter to express his frustration.
The 23-year-old’s form since then has not been great, and it made sense for West Brom to part company with the striker in the January transfer window.
Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to mock Berahino. Below are some of the best comments:
