Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has been called up for England.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks has been called up to the England squad as a replacement for the injured Fabian Delph.
The FA confirmed the news last night as the Three Lions prepare for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Winks’ rise has been tremendous as this time last year he had not made a first team start for Tottenham.
He did so in a dramatic 3-2 win over West Ham last November in which he scored on his debut.
Winks starred up against West Ham ace Mark Noble that day, who has been overlooked by England under various managers during his entire career.

Noble has made more than 400 appearances for West Ham and did earn 20 England under-21 caps, but none at senior level.
Winks started his first Premier League game of the season at the weekend in Tottenham’s 4-0 win at Huddersfield, and that was all the encouragement Gareth Southgate needed to draft him into the Spurs squad
Tottenham fans were delighted to see the 21-year-old get the nod, and could not help but take several digs at Mark Noble in response…
