Tottenham Hotspur are back in Champions League action tonight and they will be hoping for a reaction following that drubbing against Bayern Munich last time out.

Tottenham Hotspur supporters on Twitter have mocked their player Dele Alli for claiming that Spurs have a ‘world-class team’.
It has been a season to forget so far for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who have produced abject performance after abject performance.
Spurs supporters are not in the mood as it is because their team haven’t been producing the performances at all during this campaign, which has led to widespread criticism across the board.
But that didn’t stop Alli from claiming that he is fully aware of Tottenham’s ‘world-class’ capabilities, as quoted by Goal.
It isn’t an ideal time to make such comments given Tottenham’s form, and they are comments which were slammed down by his supporters.
There were some who feel that their team have never reached that level before, as others just dismissed his claim completely.

There hasn’t even been a glimmer of any world-class ability from Tottenham this season, and it certainly wasn’t on show during the 1-1 draw against Watford over the weekend.
Now, Spurs will turn their attention to Champions League matters and taking on Red Star Belgrade at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Another poor showing here will only anger the home fans more, who at the very least, are looking for some fight and a performance from the team.
Here is a selection of Spurs fans reacting to Alli’s comments:
