Tottenham Hotspur ace Dele Alli was left disappointed at the weekend after missing a close chance against Manchester United… but followed it up by netting against Real Madrid.
Alli scored twice in a memorable performance for the North London club against the European champions.
His brace was the perfect response to Manchester United winger Ashley Young, who had clashed with Alli on the pitch at Old Trafford.
The Manchester Evening News reported that Young told Alli to ‘come back when you win the Prem’, a jibe at the Tottenham star’s lack of silverware… from a player who has only won it once himself.
Alli might not have won any trophies last night, but his impact in a huge European game was a more significant performance than any Young has offered in his career.
