Tottenham Hotspur came from a goal down to beat Leeds United 2-1 today – but Kalvin Phillips stole the show for many fans.

Antonio Conte will have wanted to make a big impression in his first home league game as Tottenham boss.

However, Leeds were the better side in the first half and took the lead through Daniel James as he fired home Jack Harrison’s cross.

Tottenham came out firing in the second half, and after levelling through Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Sergio Reguilon gave Spurs the lead.

Tottenham managed to hang on for the win, giving Conte his first Premier League victory as Spurs boss.

Leeds will feel gutted to have thrown away another lead, though Kalvin Phillips was outstanding throughout.

Deployed as something of a sweeper, Phillips shackled Tottenham’s Harry Kane as he starred in defence and moved into midfield brilliantly.

Phillips didn’t really deserve to be on the losing side, but goes home empty-handed.

Not only have Leeds fans hailed Phillips, but Tottenham fans have been raving about him too.

Some felt that Phillips showed Hojbjerg how to control a game, calling him ’so good’ and an ‘absolute baller’.

Others are begging Tottenham to make a move to sign Phillips, believing he is a quality player after today’s display.
