Tottenham Hotspur fans have hammered Mauricio Pochettino, after he hinted that he would use the January transfer window to make changes.
Tottenham were dumped out of the League Cup by Colchester United on penalties last night, with their performance in the contest so poor.
Spurs failed to break down their League Two opponents and were eventually knocked out on penalties.
Tottenham’s form over the early part of the season has been hugely concerning, and Pochettino suggested things may not get better until January, when he could ‘fix’ the problem.
“January is going to be a good opportunity too to fix this situation and the next one,” Pochettino said to Football London.
Tottenham fans have been left questioning Pochettino though, as the transfer window has only just closed.
There are many Spurs fans who feel that Pochettino should have seen the problems in advance, and cannot now be looking for excuses.
There are concerns around Tottenham that confidence could now be low, with the Lilywhites winning just once in their last seven games across all competitions.
Tottenham’s next game comes against Southampton in the Premier League, and there is huge pressure on Pochettino’s men to pick up the three points.
