Tottenham Hotspur could part ways with Nuno Espirito Santo – and reports suggest that Paulo Fonseca could immediately return to the wish list.
Tottenham were dismal in Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester United, failing to even register a shot on target.
After just a matter of months in the Tottenham job, Nuno already finds himself in danger of losing his job.
The Mirror claim that Nuno is on the brink of being sacked by Tottenham after talks between Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici on Sunday.
The same report adds that Paulo Fonseca immediately enters the frame to become Tottenham boss – which could have happened over the summer.

Fonseca appeared to be Tottenham-bound over the summer after leaving Roma.
Fonseca himself claims that a deal was done and dusted, but Tottenham pulled the plug as they wanted a more defensive manager in the end.
Nuno was the eventual pick, and that hasn’t really gone very well has it?
Compatriot Fonseca is now thought to be on the radar again, and Tottenham fans are… well, they’re losing their collective minds.
Some believe that Tottenham is simply a circus right now and going back in for Fonseca – having messed him around last summer – would be a shambles.
Others simply don’t think that Fonseca is an upgrade on Nuno at all, feeling he could be even worse.
There were even a number of fans who are sick of Tottenham targeting Portuguese managers, and simply don’t want Fonseca after Jose Mourinho and Nuno.
