Tottenham defender Danny Rose impressed against Southampton.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose put in his best performance of 2017 yesterday, reminding supporters why he was considered an integral part of the team a year ago.
A knee injury last January ruined Rose’s year, and since returning on October he has struggled for form.
Mixed in with ongoing speculation about his future, it has been a testing 12 months for Rose, and he appears to be finally getting back to his best.

Rose was excellent in Tottenham’s 5-2 victory over Southampton, nearly winning a penalty early on with a driving run into the box which was narrowly outside the box.
The left-back has a big few months coming up, with a place in England’s World Cup squad up for grabs.
Southampton were poor at Wembley and there will be tougher tests to come for Rose, but Spurs fans are largely coming back around to wanting him to remain at the club, after some mixed views earlier in the season.
Certainly the reaction to his performance yesterday was extremely positive, with Rose winning rave reviews from fans for his efforts…
