Tottenham Hotspur fans have expressed confusion at Ben Davies’ omission from the latest EA Sports FIFA Team of the Week.
EA Sports released their team yesterday, which included Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
And while Kane’s inclusion was perhaps expected after a terrific brace against Huddersfield, it was the sort of performance fans are very used to.
The display of Ben Davies against Huddersfield was perhaps even more striking.
Davies scored and and provided an assist in the 4-0 away victory, keeping a clean sheet along the way.
HITC Sport reported yesterday how Davies’ attacking output this season vastly outperforms England international Danny Rose, who has been out of action all season.
Three defenders were selected in the first XI picked by EA, Thomas Meunier of PSG, Galatasaray’s Maicon, and Borussia Moenchengladbach’s Matthias Ginter – who was linked with a summer move to Spurs by The Guardian.
No left-backs were included, and Tottenham fans inundated EA asking just what Davies has to do to get some recognition.
