Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was unable to train yesterday, Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have expressed concern about Harry Kane’s fitness status ahead of their match with Arsenal this evening.

Spurs are set to take on the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium later in the Carabao Cup, and their task of winning could be made harder as Kane is now a doubt.

Tottenham’s main striker was unable to train outside yesterday due to illness, which has left concerns rising over his fitness.

“We need to assess him because he had a cold this morning & he didn’t go outside to train,” Pochettino said to the Daily Mirror.

The comments have caused worry among Tottenham fans, who are desperately hoping that Kane will be able to play.

Kane, himself, is likely to want to feature – but Pochettino will not want to take any risks with his star striker.

Pochettino has already hinted that he will name a strong side this evening, but Tottenham are expected to rotate a few players, after what has been a busy schedule of late.

Spurs have already lost once to Arsenal this season, and they will be determined to avoid a repeat result this time.

Tottenham go into the game on the back of a 1-0 win over Burnley, while Arsenal lost to Southampton at the weekend.
