Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham Hotspur side managed to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League last night.
Tottenham Hotspur fans are slightly concerned that Christian Eriksen might have been too good last night.
Eriksen was one of the driving forces behind Tottenham’s draw at the Nou Camp against Barcelona, which helped them progress in the Champions League.
The playmaker was in brilliant form, as he made several wonderful passes which carved open the Barca defence.
However, the issue is that Eriksen only has just over a year left on his contract at Tottenham.
The Dane also has been linked with Barcelona before, and Spurs fans are now fearing that the Catalan club have seen him at his best.
Tottenham are thought to be working on handing Eriksen a new deal, but they will want to sort it out sooner rather than later.
Spurs’ progression in Europe owed a lot to Eriksen, as he was the man who scored the winner in their crucial match against Inter Milan at Wembley.
Spurs will find out who they face in the knockout stages of the Champions League on Friday, when the draw is made.
