Tottenham Hotspur fans are not impressed.

Daniel Levy Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur during the Premier League match between West Bromwich Albion and Tottenham Hotspur at The Hawthorns on May 5, 2018 in West Bromwich, England.

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have reacted strongly to chairman Daniel Levy giving his backing to a controversial payment to outgoing Premier League chairman Richard Scudamore.

Scudamore is set to earn £5 million as a ‘farewell gift’, BBC Sport reported.

While some clubs have refused to contribute towards Scudamore’s money pot, Tottenham are one club who are vehemently behind it.

Chairman Daniel Levy spoke to BBC Sport’s Dan Roan and said Scudamore deserves the money.

Levy’s comments are completely out of touch with supporters, especially when Tottenham have their own issues at present.

The club’s delayed stadium build has been a PR own goal for the Spurs board and there was no investment in players in the summer.

While Tottenham’s contribution to the £5 million pot for Scudamore is miniscule in the grand scheme of things, Levy’s comments strike the wrong tone.

Here is a look at how fans reacted…
