Rose has spent much of the campaign playing second fiddle to Ben Davies at Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino was spotted engaged in a private conversation with left-back Danny Rose during an open training session on Tuesday.
When asked about their discussion at a press conference later that afternoon, Pochettino played down the suggestion it was an ‘animated’ chat, telling Football.London: “It was just a coincidence that you saw me, but that is the normal way I approach my players. Just today, you picked me out talking to him.”
Several Tottenham fans believe there is more to it than that, however, with some believing that was the moment Rose was informed he would not be starting against Wednesday’s Champions League last-16 second round tie against Juventus.

Others though are doubtful Pochettino would choose to deliver such news in a public environment, and believe it’s a sure fire sign the 27-year-old – who has not appeared in a Premier League or European fixture since Boxing Day – is in the XI to face the Italian champions.
Here’s what they’re saying on Twitter…
Tottenham go into the game well-placed to progress to the quarter-finals, having fought back to draw 2-2 in Turin last month.
Spurs would only need to draw 0-0 or 1-1 to avoid avoid elimination.
