Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left less than impressed after Mauricio Pochettino claimed their performance at Everton was a good one.

Pochettino was interviewed by Spurs’s official Twitter account following Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Everton at the weekend.

And the Argentine boss said: “The performance was good, I was happy with the speed and the energy.”

Tottenham supporters have seriously questioned the comments though, as they feel Pochettino’s analysis was far too positive.

Spurs did have a lead to protect against Everton, when Dele Alli put them in front.

But Cenk Tosun’s late header meant that Spurs could only take home one point from Goodison Park.

In truth, Tottenham never looked at their best during the contest, with their attacking play stifled throughout.

And Spurs supporters are not happy that Pochettino has taken such a positive stance after the draw.

Tottenham’s failure to hold on and claim the three points means that they are currently sat in 11th place in the Premier League table.

Spurs are next in action tomorrow, when they take on Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League.
