Eintracht Frankfurt are already looking at Mike Tullberg as a potential replacement for Tottenham Hotspur target Oliver Glasner.

That’s according to Bild over in Germany, as they claim that Frankfurt are already looking at potential successors to Glasner.

The Austrian is understood to have rejected a new contract with Frankfurt; his current deal ends in 2024.

This comes after Bild claimed that Tottenham have made an approach to Glasner’s representatives over a move to England.

Frankfurt would be foolish not to have a contingency plan and a surprise name has emerged.

Bild suggest that Frankfurt are looking towards Borussia Dortmund coach Mike Tullberg if Glasner does end up leaving.

Tullberg is only 37 and is currently in charge of Dortmund’s Under-19’s, having previously coached their second team.

The Dane – a former Hearts striker – is highly-rated at Dortmund and Frankfurt could catapult him into a big job.

Oliver Glasner would be surprise top target for Tottenham

Tottenham are surely looking for a new manager this summer with Antonio Conte likely to head out.

Daniel Levy and co will be assessing potential candidates and will have been trying to gauge Glasner’s interest in a move.

We can understand the interest; Glasner impressed at LASK and Wolfsburg before taking over Frankfurt.

Glasner won the Europa League last year, has Frankfurt sixth this year and reached the Champions League knockout stages.

Glasner has proven himself to be a quality manager but we would be surprised if he was top of the pile for Spurs.

Mauricio Pochettino will be very appealing given his availability and his love for Tottenham.

Luis Enrique and Thomas Tuchel will get consideration whilst Roberto De Zerbi and Ruben Amorim are top young managers.

Picking Glasner over those managers would be a surprise but maybe Tottenham have been charmed by his success in Germany.
