Tottenham Hotspur sporting director Fabio Paratici has a close relationship with the representatives of Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic as Spurs hope to win the race.
That’s according to a report from Football London, who claim that Paratici may have a trump card in the battle for Vlahovic’s signature.
The main agent who represents Vlahovic is the Italian Davide Torchia. What a job for him; helping decide the destination of one of Europe’s most in-demand talents.
Torchia has dealt with Paratici before. He represents Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, who was signed by Paratici in Turin.
The problem of course is that Torchia is therefore close with Juventus too, who are also keen on signing Vlahovic.
Still, this new report claims that some sources believe a deal for Vlahovic to join Tottenham is in the pipeline because of Paratici’s relationship.
Arsenal are desperate to sign Vlahovic this month to bolster Mikel Arteta’s attack, whereas Tottenham want to wait until the summer.
This is turning into a real North London battle for Vlahovic, but you have to question exactly where he fits in at Tottenham.
Yes, Antonio Conte played with two strikers at Inter Milan as Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku dovetailed their way to a league title.

Vlahovic could partner Harry Kane in the Tottenham attack, but then what becomes of Son Heung-min?
The South Korean star is vital at Tottenham and hasn’t really played as a number 10, preferring to play in from the left flank.
Conte isn’t going to switch to a 4-4-2 system any time soon, so jamming Son, Vlahovic and Kane into the same team may be tricky.
At Arsenal, Vlahovic would be given a clear role as Mikel Arteta’s first-choice striker for years to come.
That’s something for Vlahovic to consider when he makes his decision, even if his agent is close with Paratici.
