Tottenham Hotspur will take a big step today in their quest to bring Dusan Vlahovic to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, according to TMW.
What’s the story?
TMW are reporting that Tottenham will meet the agent of Fiorentina striker Vlahovic in Milan today.
Talks will be held between Tottenham officials and Vlahovic’s agent.
Fiorentina are willing to sell the 21-year-old Serbia international, but the Italian club want as much as €70 million (£59.24m) as transfer fee for him.
However, Spurs are not the only club who want to sign the striker, according to the report.
La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are interested in Vlahovic and are actually leading the race for the youngster.
Italian champions Inter Milan also want the Serbian.
Would Dusan Vlahovic make Tottenham better?
Vlahovic is a very talented and promising young striker who had a wonderful season in 2020-21.
The youngster scored 21 goals and gave two assists in 34 Serie A starts last season.
Vlahovic is so good and has such huge potential that his former Fiorentina teammate Franck Ribery publicly said that “he is a great player”, as quoted in Calciomercato in July 2021.
Vlahovic would be a good signing for Spurs, not just for now, but for years to come.
After all, the striker is still only 21.
