Tottenham Hotspur stars Ryan Mason and Roberto Soldado take to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the 4-1 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Tottenham Hotspur players may have tried to do their best against Manchester City on Saturday, but they still fell short.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side won the Premier League contest 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium, thanks to four goals from star striker Sergio Aguero.
The Argentina international opened the scoring for the Citizens in the 13th minute, but Christian Eriksen restored parity just two minutes later.
However, Aguero scored from the penalty spot in the 20th minute and again from 12 yards midway through the second half, before slotting home his fourth of the afternoon 15 minutes from time.
Aguero also missed a spot kick for City and so did Roberto Soldado for Spurs, who ended the game with 10 men after Federico Fazio was sent off.
Spurs gave an encouraging performance in the first half, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side failed to match City as the game progressed and deservedly lost the encounter.
Following the match, Tottenham duo Ryan Mason and Soldado took to social networking site Twitter to express their disappointment at the final result:
