Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has taken to Instagram to send an emotional message to teammate Son Heung-min after Sunday’s draw with Liverpool.

Alli takes chance against Liverpool

It’s been a difficult few years for Alli.

Once seen as England’s next big hope and a Premier League star with Tottenham, Alli has lost his way a little.

Named in Antonio Conte’s Tottenham XI to face Liverpool on Sunday, Alli was making his first league start for Tottenham since the end of September.

That can’t be easy for any player, and Alli has had to deal with rumours about his future in the background along the way.

Alli impressed on Sunday though, turning in a strong performance as Tottenham drew 2-2 with Liverpool.

Committed and energetic, Alli was unlucky not to score. It took a world-class save from Alisson to deny him in the first half.

This is what Tottenham fans want to see from Alli, with hopefully more to come under Conte.

Alli thanks Son after Tottenham return

On Monday evening, Alli took to Instagram to send an emotional message to Son Heung-min.

Alli posted a photo of the pair together against Liverpool, accompanying it with the message ‘When I you’re my brother, you’re really my brother’.

Son has been one of the most-liked Tottenham players ever since his £22million move from Bayer Leverkusen in 2015.

It seems that Son has been there for Alli during his battle for playing time, stepping up as a friend as much as a teammate.

Alli is clearly appreciative, and Tottenham fans will hope to see them joining forces on the pitch for a while yet.
