Tottenham Hotspur claimed a big win over Manchester City on Saturday with Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur playing key roles.

Few were giving Tottenham a chance at the Etihad Stadium, especially after three straight Premier League defeats.

Losses to Chelsea, Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers had left Tottenham’s top four hopes in tatters.

Yet having claimed a huge win over City, Tottenham are back in the hunt for the top four.

Harry Kane produced one of his finest performances, scoring twice to show City exactly what they’re missing.

The other goalscorer on the night was new signing Kulusevski, slotting home from Son Heung-min’s pass.

Kulusevski also set up Kane’s winner with a great cross, turning in an impressive performance in his first Premier League start.

In midfield, Bentancur coped well with City’s midfield, which is usually a tough ask for any Premier League midfielder.

The Uruguayan looks composed on the ball and more than willing to get stuck in and break up the game – just as Antonio Conte would love.

Both Kulusevski and Bentancur are likely to start for Tottenham against Burnley tonight, and will surely play key roles moving forward too.

Whilst Bentancur was featuring regularly for Juventus with 13 league starts this season, Kulusevski had only started five for Juve.

Ultimately, Juve seemed fairly happy to let both players go, and Tottenham will be hoping to see them kick on in North London.

An interesting claim that now been made in Italy, with former defender Massimo Brambati speaking to Tuttomercatoweb about Bentancur and Kulusevski.

Brambati claims that Juventus aren’t fit enough under Massimiliano Allegri and the ‘great’ difference in Bentancur and Kulusevski shows it.

Brambati suggested that both players were full of running against City, which just wasn’t possible at Juve, seemingly claiming that Conte has already made a huge impact.

“You know what kind of football Allegri plays, but the truth is that from a physical point of view the players are not so good. There are some problems that have been noted,” said Brambati.

“Go and see Manchester City-Tottenham and the match of Bentancur and Kulusevski, made up of running and substance. And it’s not even possible to have all these muscular problems. The two ex Juve arrived a few weeks ago and now there is a great physical difference,” he added.
