Tottenham Hotspur produced a stunning performance to beat Manchester 3-2 this evening, with Dejan Kulusevski turning in a fine performance.
Kulusevski was given a first start by Antonio Conte having arrived from Juventus on deadline day in January.
Facing the Premier League champions was something of a baptism of fire, but Kulusevski took it in his stride.
The Swede opened the scoring early on for Tottenham, slotting home through Joao Cancelo’s legs after Son Heung-min’s break forward.
Ilkay Gundogan levelled it up for City from another Hugo Lloris error, only for Harry Kane to fire Tottenham back ahead.
Kane thought he had a third only for Kulusevski to be ruled offside, and it looked like stinging Tottenham as Riyad Mahrez buried a late penalty.
There was one last twist in the tale though as Kulusevski picked out Kane to head in the winner, giving Tottenham a 3-2 victory.
As far as full debuts go, this was almost perfect for Kulusevski; a goal, an assist, three points and a huge hug from Antonio Conte at the full-time whistle.
Some Tottenham fans had already indicated some concern about Kulusevski’s pace, and it’s fair to say he won’t be blazing past full backs.

Kulusevski does though have a great left foot, outstanding technical ability and works relentlessly for the team – something Conte loves.
Tottenham fans have now been taking to Twitter to praise Kulusevski, with many branding his performance ‘amazing’.
Others felt Kulusevski was ‘incredible’, praising his non-stop work rate throughout the game.
Some even suggested that Kulusevski was the best player on the pitch, even overshadowing Tottenham hero Kante with a superb display.
