Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies is set to miss out on playing against West Ham United.
Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has told BT Sport that he will miss the next two weeks’ worth of action with injury.
Davies hurt his ankle while playing in Tottenham’s Champions League tie against Bayer Leverkusen last week.
The left-back is now wearing a protective boot, as his injury heals, and Davies admits that he will be out for at least the next fortnight.
“It’s not too good at the moment, I’ve just got to get ready,” Davies said.
“It will be a good couple of weeks after this one to get back fit, so I’ve just got to work hard.”
Davies was due to be playing for Wales in World Cup qualifying this week, but his injury will keep him on the sidelines.
Chris Coleman’s side are due to face Serbia on Saturday, as they aim to make it to Russia in 2018.
The former Swansea City man may also be out for Tottenham’s next match, which comes against West Ham United after the international break.
Davies’ absence means that Danny Rose looks likely to be relied upon to start for Spurs in their upcoming matches.
Tottenham are unbeaten in Premier League action so far this season, after 11 matches this season, and they currently sit in fifth place in the top flight standings.
