Tottenham Hotspur were said to want David Brooks this summer, but he ended up at Bournemouth instead.

However, Tottenham spent most of the past transfer window trying and failing to get Jack Grealish.
With Spurs’s attention elsewhere, Bournemouth ended up capitalising and taking Brooks from Sheffield United.
The Welshman has gone on to excel in the Premier League, and Davies says that he has been very impressed by the youngster’s quality when playing with him at international level.
“He is a top player. He has a lot of ability and talent that defenders just don’t want to come up against,” Davies said.
“We’ll have a good attacking threat in him against Ireland.”

Spurs may well be regretting not moving for Brooks now, as he looks to have an extremely bright future ahead of him.
Tottenham have been great developers of talent in recent times, and Brooks could have excelled under Pochettino.
But it seems that the attacker is perfectly happy at Bournemouth now, where he is getting plenty of game time, and his reputation is increasing by the match.
