It has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur have initiated contacts with Napoli sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli.
Spurs are in need of a brand-new director of football, ever since Fabio Paratici’s worldwide ban from the game has meant he was forced to resign.
It seems Tottenham Hotspur have identified Cristiano Giuntoli as the ideal man for the job ahead of next season.
Tottenham held contacts with Cristiano Giuntoli
The 51-year-old is known to have made a number of brilliant signings during his time in Naples, which includes the likes of Victor Osimhen, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Kim Min-jae and Alex Meret to name a few.
Davide Lippi once said that he has ‘done amazing things’ via Tuttomercatoweb which should excite Spurs supporters as he is renowned to identify unearthed gems, before the club in question turn them into household names.
After all, Ciro Venerato has said Tottenham, alongside Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have made an effort to bring Cristiano Giuntoli in as their next sporting director.

“The Neapolitan experience of Cristiano Giuntoli has perhaps reached its epilogue”, he said, as relayed by Tutto Juve.
“Juve is mainly involved in Tuscany, but in recent weeks, he has also had contacts with Manchester United, Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain.”
HITC View: Tottenham could land a top manager after they appoint a sporting director
Whether it be Cristiano Giuntoli or any sporting director for that matter, the appointment of such will enable Tottenham to attract a top manager to the vacancy in N17.
After all, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenburg claimed last Thursday that while Julian Nagelsmann fancies the job, he is keen to discover what the club’s plans are in terms of replacing Fabio Paratici.
One can assume that any world-class coach would consider the absence of one in charge as a deal-breaker, as this would hamper their transfer plans.
As a result, Tottenham may perhaps prioritise the arrival of Guintoli even before sorting out their managerial situation.
