Tottenham Hotspur now face competition from Manchester City for Mateo Kovacic.

If Tottenham want to bring in Mateo Kovacic then Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy need to move now, with Manchester City circling over the Real Madrid midfielder.
The Daily Mirror claim that City are keen on Kovacic, as their bid for Jorginho of Napoli stalls.
If City come in for Kovacic then Tottenham’s chances of landing the Croatian will surely take a blow, as they cannot compete financially with Pep Guardiola’s side.

And Spurs can no longer hesistate, if they truly do want to bring Kovacic to north London this summer.
The Daily Telegraph have suggested that Kovacic, who is valued at £44 million (Football.London), has been on Pochettino’s radar for some time, but Spurs have made slow progress this summer.

Pochettino suggested that Tottenham were looking to bring in new signings before the World Cup, but they are yet to bring a new player through the door.
And Tottenham would be wise not to wait any longer for Kovacic, otherwise they risk being blown out of the water in the race for him by City.
