Tottenham Hotspur are now reportedly facing competition from Barcelona for Willian Jose.
It has been reported by Noticiasdegipuzkoa.eus that Barcelona are looking at the Real Sociedad striker if they are unable to bring Lautaro Martínez from Inter Milan or Memphis Depay from Lyon.
Although the Brazilian has a release clause of €70 million (£64.16 million), La Real could sell him for less, but no lower than €30 million (£27.50 million), according to the report.
The report in the Spanish publication has mentioned Tottenham’s interest in the striker as well.
Earlier this month, Calciomercato.it reported that Spurs could make an offer between €20 million (£18.33 million) and €25 million (£22.92 million) for the Sociedad striker.
Eldesmarque.com has also claimed of interest in Willian Jose from North London club Tottenham.
Barcelona or Tottenham Hotspur?
It could be quite a dilemma for Willian Jose if both Barcelona and Tottenham make an offer for him.
Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in the world, but the Blaugrana are going through a transitional phase now.
Tottenham are aiming to return to the Champions League and are a big club based in London, but Harry Kane is the number one striker at Spurs and will stay so.
According to WhoScored, Willian Jose made 24 starts and 13 substitute appearances in La Liga for Sociedad last season, scoring 11 goals and providing one assist in the process.
