Tottenham Hotspur have a bargain on offer with Tanguy Ndombele, and Daniel Levy needs to push through a deal now.

Lyon have set their asking price at £63 million for Ndombele, Sky Sports have reported, with Tottenham trying to negotiate a deal for the midfielder.

The fee is considerably more than Tottenham have ever paid, and there seems to be a reluctance on Spurs’ behalf to push on with the transfer at the current price.

However, Spurs only need to look around in the Premier League to realise what a bargain they have on offer.

Tottenham are operating in an inflated market where Leicester City can demand £90 million for Harry Maguire (The Sun) and West Ham United can ask for £75 million for Issa Diop (Telegraph).

It shows what Spurs are up against, and if they want quality they are going to have to pay for it.

A fee of £63 million looks cheap in comparison to what is on offer elsewhere in the Premier League.

And Levy must seize the opportunity he has in front of him to bring Ndombele to White Hart Lane, even though the fee is more than Tottenham have ever paid before.
