Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the departures of six young players.
Issuing a news release via Twitter, Spurs announced the exits of the six, who have come to the end of their contracts.
The players released are Filip Lesniak, Tom McDermott, Charlie Owens, Joe Muscatt, Zenon Stylianides and Juan Pablo Gonzalez-Velasco.
Gonzalez-Velasco was signed only last summer from Brentford and had feature for Tottenham’s under-18s.
Charlie Owens had been on trial at QPR earlier this year with his release expected.
Filip Lesniak’s departure is more of a shock, with the midfielder making his first team debut at the end of the season against Leicester.
He impressed with his cameo performance and provided an assist in the 6-1 win.
Stylianides is a midfielder with great potential who models his game on Moussa Dembele, and his exit is also a surprise.
