Rafael van der Vaart has urged Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur to sign Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea, as quoted in The Times.
The former Tottenham star believes that Ziyech, who can play as a winger or as an attacking midfielder, would solve the issue of creativity at Spurs.
Van der Vaart believes that the current Tottenham team do not have enough creativity.
And, according to the Dutchman and pundit, Ziyech could solve that.
Van der Vaart told The Times: “I’ve been saying that for some time now, but I believe Ziyech is the type of player who could make a big impact in the current Spurs team.
With a playmaker like him, chances are things will start to go much better. Then Son doesn’t have to go deep to collect the ball and Kane can just remain up front as a striker as well.
“Because they miss someone who can feed them those balls. Now they have to work too hard.”

In our view, it is practically impossible that Ziyech will leave Chelsea for Tottenham on January transfer deadline day.
But, could a deal happen in the summer of 2022?

We know that Chelsea and Tottenham are bitter London rivals, so, in our view, the 28-year-old’s transfer from the Blues to Spurs would be quite controversial.
Ziyech has not been a massive hit at Chelsea, but we have to consider the fact that the Moroccan has not always had a run in the team.
However, we have seen time and time again what Ziyech is capable of, like his recent wonder-goal against Tottenham.
The £33.3 million attacker (BBC Sport) has scored three goals and given two assists in nine Premier League starts, and has scored one goal and given one assist in four Champions League starts so far this season.
