Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Celtic over a permanent sale of Cameron Carter-Vickers, according to The Daily Record.
Carter-Vickers is on loan at Scottish Premiership club Celtic from Premier League outfit Tottenham at the moment.
The USA international central defender joined the Hoops in the summer of 2021.
Carter-Vickers is scheduled to stay at Celtic until the end of the season.
The Daily Record have reported that Celtic have opened talks with Tottenham over making the loan signing of the 24-year-old permanent now.
The Bhoys have an option to make the loan deal permanent for £6 million.
Leaving Tottenham for good would make sense for Carter-Vickers
In our view, joining Celtic on a permanent contract from Tottenham would make sense for Carter-Vickers.
The defender has not even played a single Premier League game for Spurs so far in his career.
And he is 24 now.
Carter-Vickers is doing well at Celtic at the moment and is flourishing under manager Ange Postecoglou.
The Celtic no. 20 has scored two goals and provided one assist in 15 Scottish Premiership games so far this season.
The American defender played five times in the Europa League and thrice in the Scottish League Cup.
Carter-Vickers has won the Scottish League Cup with Celtic this season.
