Tottenham Hotspur will surely have plans for Bryan Gil moving forward but Valencia believe he is interested in another loan deal this summer.
Tottenham swooped to sign Gil last summer, landing him from Sevilla in a part-exchange deal involving Erik Lamela.
Gil had emerged as one of Spanish football’s top young talents and appeared to be an exciting signing for Tottenham.
There have been a few problems though.
Gil’s diminutive and slight frame means he is hardly suited to the rough and tumble of the Premier League right now.
Sometimes you don’t need to be an athletic machine – just look at David Silva, for instance – but Gil just doesn’t quite look ready for the Premier League.
Antonio Conte seemingly couldn’t find a role for Gil and allowed him to join Valencia on loan in January.
Gil has been turning in some strong displays for Valencia and their fans already seem to love the ‘magical’ playmaker.
Come this summer though, Gil will be back at Tottenham – and his task has become even harder with Dejan Kulusevski starring under Conte.
The Daily Star now claim that Valencia believe Gil is ‘tempted’ to take up the offer of staying on loan for next season.

Valencia supposedly think Gil will want to stay if he is named in the next Spain international squad next week.
Tottenham are allegedly willing to be patient with Gil and have already received an approach from Valencia over extending that loan.
Tottenham have to think about the best decision for Gil’s development here.
Playing and thriving at home in Spain is great for Gil’s confidence, but it may not do all that much to prepare him for the Premier League.
That’s something to consider for Tottenham, who won’t want to be going into the 2023-24 season still unsure of what they have in Gil.
