Tottenham Hotspur are looking to raid Metz again, this time for midfielder Boubacar Traore having already signed Pape Matar Sarr.

That’s according to The Sun, who claim that Tottenham are scouting Traore ahead of a possible move.

Fabio Paratici’s scouts are back watching Metz again and would like to bring Traore to North London in the near future.

Traore, 20, would need to play for Mali at the Africa Cup of Nations in order to stand a chance of landing a work permit to play in England.

Tottenham are hoping that is the case, and could look to team Traore up with Sarr.

Sarr signed for Tottenham in August, but is back on loan at Metz until next summer. By the time his Tottenham career starts, Traore could have joined him.

Who is Tottenham target Traore?

Whilst Sarr was built up as one of the top young midfielders in Europe, Traore doesn’t quite have the same hype.

Still, after two appearances for Metz’s first team this season, Traore has played in eight Ligue 1 games this term.

The youngster is still more of a substitute at this point, but Tottenham have seemingly seen more than enough potential in the midfielder.

A box-to-box midfield player, Traore could be another one for the future at Tottenham. In fact, loaning him back to Metz – just like Sarr – could be ideal.

With Paratici at the the helm, Tottenham want more young talent – and Traore could be the next big addition for the future at Spurs.
